Varnett students honored their teachers May 4-8 by making thank you cards, bringing flowers and dressing as their favorite teacher. At Northeast Campus, teachers enjoyed a free lunch from Genghis Grill in Houston and received free gift cards.
Teachers play a key role in student success and sometimes a simple “thanks” is all a teacher needs to feel valued, says the National PTA. "Since 1984, National PTA has designated the first week in May as a special time to honor the men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating our children."
