Students dress the part in celebrating Dr. Seuss’ 111th birthday

Dr. Seuss has a large variety of rhymes. All of his books relate to children’s literature through rhymes and characters.

On March 2, the 111th birthday of Dr. Seuss’,  kindergartners and some first-graders brought their favorite Dr. Seuss books such as "The Cat in the Hat," and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"  and dressed as their favorite characters, such as “Thing One and Thing Two." Each book is faithful in the spirit to the values and experiences that influence a child’s development.

The kindergarten teachers are preparing their students for the first grade. What an exciting, motivating way for students to explore reading through Dr. Seuss books. This celebration gave students opportunities to make stories come alive through student role-playing.
