ALPHA middle school students testing self-made gliders, which is the first of five projects they will complete in the Varnett Middle School Aerospace S.T.E.A.M. Academy program this year.
The Varnett Public School's Advanced Learning Program for High Achievers (ALPHA) Academy is an individualized instruction program designed to address the educational needs of students performing above grade level in Math or ELAR (English Language Arts and Reading).

Varnett 5th graders talk about their future

Annette Cluff was honored by making the cover of the 5th edition of "Who's Who in Black Houston," Varnett 5th graders talked about their own future via videotaped message and said they would like to be included in a Who's Who book, too, some day.
