The Department of Special Education's mission is to prepare each child to contribute to his or her communities in meaningful and positive ways, by providing specialized instruction, allowing for individual differences and learning styles and developing independence.

All stakeholders are united in a common commitment and are accountable to ensure that students are able to work independently, and are college, career and community ready. With high expectations for student achievement, all students who struggle will have environmental and instructional access to the general education curriculum.
