Mr. Marcus Davis, owner of The Breakfast Klub in Houston, talked to fourth and fifth grade students about how he started his business and offered plenty of advice.
Building a business, he said, takes a vision, a plan, hard work and persistence. He said he was turned down several times for a loan until he got one covering about 20 percent of his costs. "I had to do the rest by myself," Mr. Davis said. He was one of several guests to appear at the Southwest Campus library during Career Week.
