As students were enjoying their day off Friday, Varnett staff conducted professional development sessions to plan ahead for the 2019-20 school year.
Most of the Varnett staff met at the Northeast campus and focused on issues such as accessing online resources to use during instruction. For example, teachers will show videos and play demonstrations.
Students, meanwhile, will use resources to practice math, science, language arts and social studies.
Teachers came away with lesson plans that included use of the online resources.
