Varnett launches Aerospace Academy for middle school students

Varnett recently launched its Middle School Aerospace S.T.E.A.M. Academy project with students.

The academy is an opportunity for 6th-8th students to engage in hands-on, project-based learning of aerospace curriculum through a S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) approach.

The first project consists of students constructing a payload to successfully hold an egg, using household and recyclable items. The second project requires students to build two different parachutes to test the landing of their constructed payloads built for the first project.

This video shows the presentation to students on project requirements and timelines.
