On March 26, Varnett's middle school students had a chance to listen to and watch Ms. Janelle Wellons, an instrument operations engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif.
Nearly 100 students of the Aerospace S.T.E.A.M Academy heard via Google Meet the personal stories that launched her career and the major responsibilities she holds now in her current position.
After her presentation, both students and staff asked Ms. Wellons lots of questions.
