"Breakfast for Dads" a hit for Varnett families

Breakfast for Dads is way to show fathers they are appreciated throughout the year. It also is great way to build positive connections among family members.

Varnett's charter school students seemed so proud to have their fathers share breakfast with them Thursday, Feb. 5. We had more than 150 visitors and even some mothers joined us in the Southwest Campus cafeteria.

On the menu were kolache, whole grain muffins, sliced apples, juice and coffee.

From the wonderful music played by our librarian, Ms. Jackson, to the generosity of our cafeteria staff, I feel Thursday  was a complete success. It really gave us all such joy to have so many of our wonderful fathers supporting this event!
