Parents flocked to Southwest and Southwest PreK campuses Thursday evening to talk with teachers and locate their children's classrooms before school opens on August 24.
Dr. Margaret Stroud, Varnett's interim superintendent, made the rounds, checked on classroom preparation and chatted with parents and children.
"I am pleased to announce that we had 167 students and their parents attend Meet the Teacher," said Ms. Mukes, Southwest Campus director.
Northeast Campus has a "Meet the Teacher" event Friday (today) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
