Kindergartners make holiday cards for assisted living residents

Kindergartners at the Southwest Campus this week made Christmas and holiday cards to be delivered next week to the residents of Autumn Leaves of Meyerland, an assistant living facility in Southwest Houston.

The making of the cards is part of a community service project designed for students to give something back to the community. The children drew Christmas trees and made other designs for the residents.

Mr. Jesse Arps, the vice principal, said he will deliver the cards to the residents next week. The facility is at 4710 W Bellfort Blvd.

Students in Ms. Dorothy Carloss' class summed it up when she led the chant, "We share because we care!"
