At The Varnett Public School, we believe that wellness begins with small, intentional choices that lead to healthier lives. This week's Wellness Wednesday spotlight focuses on Diabetes and Prediabetes Awareness, encouraging our Varnett family to take proactive steps toward managing blood sugar and improving overall well-being.
Healthy eating and regular physical activity are two powerful ways to support better health. Choosing fiber-rich foods, practicing portion control, staying hydrated, and incorporating just 10–15 minutes of walking after meals can make a meaningful difference. Aim for 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week to help build healthy habits.
Remember, progress doesn't require perfection, just consistency! Whether you're taking an extra walk, choosing a healthier meal, or drinking more water, every positive choice is a step toward a healthier you.
Let's continue to Be the Change by making wellness a priority for ourselves, our families, and our Varnett community!
