Varnett maps future based on current student data

Oct. 18, 2019, all of The Varnett Public School's instructional staff, teachers and aides participated in professional development.
 
The day focused on analyzing the data from campus-based assessments (CBA) to determine where students were meeting learning expectations and where teachers had more work to do.
 
 
Staff looked at specific TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) for each grade level to determine areas of strength and areas of focus, then worked in collaborative teams to plan learning stations for the next week of instruction.
 
Ask your child's teacher how your child performed on the assessment and what skills or concepts your child needs to work on before the next districtwide assessment in November.
