The Varnett Public School intermediate and middle school students are taking campus-based assessments this week, March 2-10, 2020.
This is a district-administered assessment that measures student-learning progress based upon instructional material that has been taught from the beginning of the school year to the present. Students in grades 3-8 are being tested.
It is important to encourage students to review learned strategies taught in class and do their best work on each assessment. The test results inform teachers how to best meet student needs and how to support students in preparing for April and May STAAR administrations.
As always, we encourage parents to ensure students rest well each night, eat a healthy breakfast each day, and send them to school on time to help them reach their goal of achieving excellence.
