March 1 is "Texas Girls in STEM Day"

The Academics Department of Varnett Public School would like to celebrate Texas Girls in STEM Day. This day is reserved for March 1 to acknowledge women in Science who have excelled in the field and to encourage girls to consider the career path.
The state of Texas passed the act, Texas Girls in STEM Day, to help encourage girls to consider career fields in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It also celebrates and honors women who have excelled in those fields.

The Varnett Public School wants to encourage young girls and teen females to love or be interested in science, technology, engineering, or math.

Let's take a few minutes to honor those women who have made strides in these fields to encourage young girls to pursue the pathway of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
