The Varnett Public School East students and parents had a "Tea Party" last Friday, March 24.
Ms. Brandy Jackson, vice president of the campus Parent Teacher Organization, presented etiquette lessons on the proper way to sit at a table and prepare and sip tea while passing and eating cookies from a serving tray.
The whole idea was quite informative as I learned a few new things about proper table manners. The students, parents, and staff dressed in western wear and danced a jig to country, latin and hip-hop music.
We all had a rip roarin' and countrified time while sipping tea!
