Medication pick-up reminder

Dear Parents and Guardians,

If your child has any medication in the nurse’s office it must be picked up by Friday, May 26, 2017, the last day of school.

Your child will not be able to transport any medication on the bus, but you’re welcome to pick up medication in the nurse's office anytime before school ends Friday. Any medication/spacers not picked up from school will be discarded.

Here at The Varnett Public School, medication is always transported from home to school and back by adults. This is to prevent any misuse of medication with children.

It is important to note that a new medication/allergy form must be completed and signed by a physician for the upcoming 2017-18 school year and returned only to the nurse. All prescription medications must be submitted in the original prescription bottle or package and clearly labeled.

No OTC (over the counter) meds are ever administered by the nurse.

All medical questions and concerns must be communicated with the nurse at all times. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the nurse at your child's campus or stop by the nurse's office.
