Dear Varnett Team,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year!
I hope your summer brought you time to rest, reflect, and reconnect with what inspires you. As we begin this new academic year, I want to express my deep appreciation for each of you and the work you do to make our district a place of purpose, possibility, and promise.
Our theme this year, Vision to Reality: You ARE the Key, reflects both the progress we’ve made and the exciting journey ahead. This theme is a reminder that our dreams for student success are not just ideas on paper, they become reality because of your commitment, passion, and daily actions. You ARE the key to unlocking excellence in every classroom, every campus, and every child.
We enter this school year with significant momentum:
- Our district has been approved as a Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) District, a major milestone that allows us to reward outstanding teaching and elevate the profession within our community. This accomplishment is a direct result of your hard work and instructional excellence.
- We are launching our new Texas Strategic Leadership (TSL) Plan at Convocation 2025! It was built on a foundation of instructional leadership, student growth, and a coaching culture. This plan is not just a guide, it’s a shared vision for our future, and it will shape every aspect of how we serve our students and families.
You are the heart of our mission. Whether you teach in the classroom, serve in operations, support instruction, or lead behind the scenes, your role is KEY and essential. Thank you for the difference you make, every day. Welcome new teachers & staff, and welcome back to our dedicated returning faculty & staff!
